First Lithium Granted Manitoba Mineral Exploration Licence

Vancouver, British Columbia CANADA, September 30, 2009 /FSC/ - First Lithium Resources Inc. (TSX - VX: MCI), (the "Company") is pleased to announce that Mineral Exploration Licence ("MEL") 395A has been granted, and will be transferred from Mark Fedikow to the Company. This expands the area of influence for the Company from 256 hectares, the area of the Godslith claim, to 5107 hectares for the MEL. The objective of the acquisition is to provide the opportunity to explore the general area of the Godslith lithium pegmatite for repetitions of this style of deposit. To this end, Mark Fedikow (P. Geo.) has recommended that a Mobile Metal Ions soil geochemical survey be undertaken on this newly licensed area, to be commenced when the required work permits are obtained.

The Godslith pegmatite has a historical resource estimate (INCO) of "4.8 million tons of 1.27% Li2O over 36.2 feet using a cut-off grade of 0.70% Li2O". Probable resources have been estimated to be an additional "4.6 million tons grading 1.14% Li2O".

The deposit is open at depth along the entirety of its more than 2300 m strike length. A diamond drill program has been proposed to assess the extent of the lithium-bearing pegmatite dyke at depth and for the potential for associated rare earth and precious metal mineralization. (Note: a qualified person has not done sufficient work to classify the historical estimate as current mineral resources, the issuer is not treating the historical estimate as current mineral resources and the historical estimate should not be relied upon.)
